El sábado, 28 de enero de 2012 el equipo masculino Senior de Soccer puso el nombre del Colegio en alto al quedar campeón del Torneo del Colegio San José. Este torneo fue celebrado en el Estadio Centro Americano en Mayagüez. En hora buena, felicitaciones a Guillermo Arroyo, Jorge Jaime, Ramón Molina, Ricardo Lorenzo, Noel Sosa, Daniel Ramos y Joseph Medina.
El Colegio San Carlos vuelve hacer historia. Después de 7 años el equipo de voleibol Senior Femenino se proclamó ayer miércoles, 14 de diciembre de 2011 campeón de la Liga Atlética Católica de Voleibol. La serie final de Voleibol Senior Femenino fue entre las escuelas SESO de Mayagüez vs. Colegio San Carlos. Esta serie la dominó de forma cómoda ganando 2-0.
El primer juego de la serie final fue en SESO y fue dominado por San Carlos ganando los 2 sets 21-15 y 21-16. El segundo juego celebrado en San Carlos, nuestras chicas ganaron en 3 parciales: 15-21, 21-18 y 15-10, de esta forma ganando el campeonato.
El equipo de este año estuvo compuesto por las esquinas: Mariela Avilés e Irma Vázquez (10mo), las centrales Wilnelis Díaz y Jasmine González y la colocadora Onelis Díaz (12mo) y las opuestos Dariana González (10mo) y Gabriela Lassalle (11mo). Queremos felicitarlas por su excelente trabajo en la cancha para poner en el alto los colores de nuestro Colegio. Felicitamos también a nuestro coach el Sr. Kelvin González por su dedicación y el trabajo realizado con las muchachas.

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) – UCF women’s golf head coach Courtney Trimble continues to reel in young talent for the Knights as Paola Robles (Aguadilla, Puerto Rico) signed her National Letter of Intent to play at UCF on Wednesday afternoon. Robles will arrive on campus prior to the 2012-13 season.
Robles has quite an impressive resume already, winning the Puerto Rico Amateur Championship in 2010 and 2011. She has been a member of the Puerto Rico National Team since 2009, and a part of the Puerto Rico Junior Team since 2005.
“We are excited to have Paola sign with UCF,” Trimble said. “She’s experienced in playing all around the world and has played a lot of team golf with the Puerto Rican team. She has the potential to be a really great player. She is a great ball striker and I think coming to the U.S. will help her game mature.”
Recently, Robles won the Caribbean Junior Championship Girls 16-17 division and also represented Puerto Rico in the U.S. Golf Association (USGA) State Team matches.
Although she lives outside the continental United States, Robles is no stranger to the Orlando area as she has family nearby.
“Her grandparents spend a lot of time in Orlando since they have a house here, so she is familiar with the area. She has spent quite a bit of time in the States playing golf and visiting, especially in Orlando,” Trimble added.
Robles looks to add to an already potent Knights lineup as each member of the current squad will return for the 2012-13 season. UCF has already seen two freshmen from the 2011-12 recruiting class make quite an impact asKatie Mitchell (Fernandina Beach, Fla.) and Monifa Sealy (Glencoe, Trinidad and Tobago) have both notched second-place individual finishes this fall.
The Knights will return in 2012 for the majority of their season when they host the UCF Challenge Feb. 12-14.
San Carlos al Día
